Journey Home

Well I guess you would say I am the luckiest one in the band.  I met Shelley in 1996 when she had a wreck in her car, and I just happened to work at the body shop where she took it to get it fixed.  I guess you could say we met by "accident"!  While I was working on the car, I found a picture of this hot girl and tons of CDs with all my favorite worship artists (mostly Vineyard stuff at the time).  Needless to say I had to meet her.  At the time I was helping lead worship at my church, and she was one of the pianists at her church.  We started going out to "Holy Highway Girls Home" on Thursday nights to lead worship together.  What a way to develop a relationship! We were married in 1998 and have been leading worship together ever since.

Things I like to do when I am not working or playing music would be fishing, spending time with our two beautiful kids, and watching OLD movies. I guess I would have to say that Kevin Prosch has been my greatest musical influence (no one else can make that many strange things sound good). Right now my favorite artists would have to be Matt Redman, Hillsongs United, and Desperation Band!

I started playing the guitar when I was in college. I came home for a visit, and my younger brother, Danny, came in with a guitar and played Lord Prepare Me!  Needless to say being only 2 years apart, we were pretty competitive; and I  thought if he could learn so could I.  So I got my dad's old guitar and went through the painful experience of learning to play.  Once those calluses developed I never stopped playing.

God is so cool.  Living for Him is the greatest journey of life!  There is never a dull moment, and you never know where the next turn is going to take you. The Bible says,  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS!"  Prov. 3:5-6
